I think the above has no place among lovers of this magnificent performer.
It is a travesty to mention this movie in connection with this great man.

Yes, I did have to think a lot about it before posting, but finally decided that the film itself is a tribute to the Great Caruso.

No, this is not an accurate historical document, but I do find it entertaining. As with most Hollywood biographic products, this is the case. Lanza had great talent and an appealing presence, if not many of the other qualities that made Caruso CARUSO.

This film has been inspirational to many people, myself included. Placido Domingo said that the film was what awakened his desire to become an opera singer. I'm sure there are others.

Take it for what it's worth, and enjoy! (If you can.) I wish someone would do a serious film, but who would dare attempt the starring role>
