| I just wanted to say thank you for the passionate, humble and intelligent work you put in on this site and on youtube in order to preserve all this beauty and emotion for the next generations;it made me shudder when I think that he was already dead before my father was born (1925, in Naples, too!). I am just starting to understand now what singing is about, thanks to a wonderful teacher, a tenor, too). I really mean it, thanks! Kind regards |

| Mr. Tom, Your site is great and your remastering is excellent. I did not like remasterings until I found yours. I published a analytic biography about Caruso from an South American perspective in Portuguese in 2000 and the book was translated to Hungarian in 2002. It got 2 CDs done by Marsden. My clompliments. | 05-09-2009 9:42 | Hello | Caruso fan from Romania( Catinca Mafteiu) |
| Thank you for making this wonderful website, this wonderful singer deserves it. It is a pleasure listening to one of the biggest voices of all times(if not the biggest) and I am so happy to see that people still care for timeless beauty and find ways to share it to others. I am aspiring myself to becomnig a singer, and altough I am a girl, I learn a lot from Caruso and from that unique way of singing which is rare in our days amongst opra singers. It is somehow divine, perfect and in the same way as human and expressive as singing can be...actually, there are no words in describing it...Thank you once again for creating this web site. I wish you all the best. Catinca |

| 15-04-2009 18:26 | Your Caruso side | Verena Hartmann |
| Hello dear Tom, today I was searching arias from Caruso, Gigli and Fritz Wunderlich in youtube, so I found arias you what you posted in youtube and also your Caruso side. Great!!! This arias are also for me a great remember of my childhood and the onliest things what my father left for me. He died of cancer when I was 16 years old (I´am born in 1960). He grew up in a poor family and he wanted to become a tenor when he was young. I think he had talent (as some old nightbors told me when I was a child), but I never heard him sing. He had a stipendiat for classic singing lessons from somebody who believed in him and who was rich. When this person died my father didn`t have had the money to continue taking his singing lessons. When I was seven years old he gave me two discs. One from Mozart and another from Gigli and 3 very old Schellack discs from Caruso. I am now 48 years old and sinse some years I am interested again in these arias and beautyful voices of the past, back to my childhood and one of a great passion of my father, and also from me. Thanks for your passion, I love people who have one...and that you posted this side, it is great! Very kind regards from Cologne, Germany, Verena |

| 15-11-2008 22:10 | Just the enjoyment of it all | jack stanley |
| Hi this is Jack Stanley who has commented on many of your pieces on youtube. I love this and also enjoyed so much hearing Enrico Caruso jr's voice again. I called him in Florida where he lived in the the early 1980's just to learn more about his dad. He was gracious and kind. I have loved Caruso since I was a mere boy. What is most amazing I came from a family that had no interest in music or art. I developed it all by myself. I got my first Caruso record in 1971. It was Garabaldi's Hymn. Then I started to interview every person i could on Caruso. I even found an old Italian woman who had been at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 1920 when Caruso bled on stage. She told me the audience was screaming and it was so bizzare as he sang and blood was running down his chest. He has and will remain an idol for me. I have collected most of his records save for the very hard to find Zonophones. I do have a number of the G&T's and perhaps 180 of the Victors. In my private Library I have a belt that was given to me by Jerome Hines. It was a belt he got a hold of 60 years ago. It was a belt that Caruso wore in one of his costumes. That belt is always in my library right next to the 1904 gramophone that often plays his records. I used to play Caruso records for Jerry Hines and sometimes we would have a gathering at the house and Hines would bring Franco Corelli, and less often Robert Merrill with him. We would listen to Caruso and other singers of that period and Corelli and Hines mostly would make comments on the singing. Interesting Corelli told me that Tetrazzini was his favorite soprano voice he ever heard. Of course he had as I had only heard her on record. But we played her a lot. She was a good friend to Caruso. Now as I am sure you understand, I am in my 50's now and wish to share all of this. Cause so much of our history is not shared, and we are the loosers. Hope you do not mind the long ramble here. I would be happy to share with you to share with others around the world some of my recordings...I guess I have around 2000 of them from 1900 to 1930. Best wishes and once again I loved this website. Yours Jack Stanley |

| 05-10-2008 20:41 | congratulations | Diana (from Bucharest) |
| Congratulations, Tom, for this site (and for the Danish resistance during World War II! - I saw a documentary a few months ago). Caruso did not only have a golden voice, but also a whole personality, very charming. His good heart can be seen also in the silent funny faces and in his acting (is there the complete version of the film?) It reminds me also of my father, a bonhomme, who married at around forty-three, just like Caruso and then I was born, his first child. I wish someday I could do such a beautiful site, as you did. Thank you. | ||
